There are many Punjab Kings Players right now who also played for RCB. It’s almost like the Punjab team is like some kind of branch originating from Royal Challengers Bangalore. After left Bangalore, some of them become the very best in their own game. Here are the names of the players –
KL Rahul ( Punjab Kings Captain)
Kananur Lokesh Rahul is an Indian International Cricket Player who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. He made his Indian Premier League debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore as a wicket-keeper batsman in 2013. KL Rahul only played 2 matches in the 2013 season and scored 20 runs only. Then in 2014 Hyderabad bought Rahul for 1 crore in the Auction.
Rahul again went to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016. He was the 3rd highest run-scorer for RCB in 2016 with 397 runs in 14 matches. He missed the next season due to his shoulder injury. At last, Rahul was bought by Kings XI Punjab ( Now Punjab Kings ) in 2018. He made the fastest ever half-century in only 14 balls and scored his maiden hundred in 2018. In 2020 he was named the captain of the team.
Mayank Agarwal is also an Indian International player who is a right-handed top-order batsman. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore between 2011 to 2013. He played in the middle-order for RCB and also helped them with some winning knocks. But he didn’t fit into the RCB team.
After playing for different teams Kings Xi Punjab bought Mayank in 2018. He is now one of their top players present on the team. In the absence of Rahul Mayank Agarwal also Captained Punjab against Delhi Capitals.
Christopher James Jordan (born 4 October 1988) is a Barbadian-born English cricketer. He is a right-arm fast bowler and a late-order right-handed batsman. He plays for Sussex in domestic cricket and has played for England, mostly in the shorter formats of the game.
He played for RCB just in 2016. In 2020 Chris Jordan joined Punjab Kings and became their premier fast bowler.
Mandeep Singh (born 18 December 1991) is an Indian cricketer. He plays for Punjab in the top-flight of Indian cricket. A right-hand batsman who also occasionally bowls right arm medium pace, Mandeep has also played for France, and North Zone and for teams in the Indian Premier League. He was the vice-captain of the India under-19 cricket team for the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Mandeep played for RCB between 2015-18 and contributed some good knocks. But Punjab bought Mandeep in 2019 and he has been for Punjab since them.
The universe boss Chris Gayle
Christopher Henry Gayle is a West Indies international cricketer who belongs to Jamaica. Being a destructive opener Gayle is regarded as the greatest batsman ever in T20 cricket. Gayle has set numerous records across all three formats of the game. Gayle captained the West Indies Test side from 2007 to 2010. He is most known for revolutionizing the game by inspiring teams to regularly hit sixes in white-ball cricket.
He started his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders but Bangalore bought him in 2011. He took RCB to the final single-handedly. Then he played for RCB till 2017 and became a part and parcel of Bangalore. But RCB wanted to look for new talent and left Gayle. Then Punjab bought him in the Auctions and he is now with Punjab Kings.
Sarfaraz Khan is also a Punjab Kings player who played for Bangalore as well.
