The Journey of Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021

Royal Challengers Bangalore started their IPL 2021 season with 4 back to back wins in Chennai. Harshal Parel was talking crucial wickets in every match and Mohammed Siraj bowling the death overs with serious yorkers. Maxwell also was back in form and playing important knocks for them while Virat was struggling to get some runs. But he also played a 70+ runs innings against Rajasthan in the 4th match with Paddikal’s hundred.

So everybody was contributing to IPL phase 1. But they also lost 2 matches against Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. Harshal was expensive In both matches and the batsmen collapsed.

But in the starting 2 matches, they lost very harshly against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. KKR beat them in just 10 overs with 9 wickets in hand. Not any batsman scored 30+ runs and they were bowled out for 82 only. Against CSK after a 100+ opening stand, they scored just 156 runs and lost that match also.

But they came back in their next 3 matches and won against Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings. But the loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad cost their place in the top 2 positions. So they will finish in the 3rd position as they have to beat Delhi by 155+ runs to be in the 2nd position which is quite impossible.

Journey of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021

Kolkata also started IPL 2021 with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad but they lost back to back 4 matches against Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Rajasthan. They had just 2 wins in their bags in the 1st hase Of IPL 2021 in India.

But KKR came back very well in the 2nd phase in UAE and win 5 matches among 7. Venkatesh Iyer was the hero of KKR in the UAE. But Rahul Tripathi, Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana and Dinesh Kartick also played a crucial role. The bowling line-up is fantastic and can be a good match for the best bowling team Delhi Capitals. The mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty, Caribbean spinner Sunil Narine lead the Spin department and Loki Ferguson with Shivam and Prasidh Krishna did a very good job.

According to many experts, KKR is the best team so far in the 2nd phase of the Indian Premier League. So Bangalore is getting ready for the clash of the titans.

RCB vs KKR Eliminator Match Predictions

With the arrival of Iyer Kolkata have started to play pretty well as a team. Their bowling department was already doing great but now with the batsmen are also keep posting 160+ runs in UAE pitches. It will take a superhuman inning from AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell to beat them. Maxwell is in the form of his life so we will expect good innings from him. But AB is not in a good shape in this leg and didn’t get much to bat as he is now playing in 5th or 6th position.

So according to me, Kolkata is a little bit ahead of Bangalore but anything can happen in a cricket match if you got Virat, AB and Maxwell. So stay tuned to Star Sports or Hotstar for RCB vs KKR Eliminator Match.
